Our tenant left without giving notice after 20 years of living in the cottage. We were dismayed when we went in to the house to find the place full of bin bags, old dusty possessions, lots of rubbish and old furniture. We spent several weeks getting most of the upstairs cleared, as some personal possessions had been left, but after weeks sifting through someone else's rubbish it was time to get the professionals in. I found Clare's House Clearance on the internet and was immediately impressed by the superlative reviews on her website. I relied on these heavily and on the strength of these I contacted Clare. The reviews were correct! Clare was easy to contact, answered emails quickly, came to look at the house the next day, and together we fixed a date for the clearance just a few days later. Clare is very pleasant and she has a very good can-do attitude. Nothing phased her. In the end they filled two large vans! I think they needed the second van to accommodate the enormous stack of cardboard boxes and old tools they found in the garage! As other reviewers said, it was a nice finish to have the house vacuumed. The house looked a whole lot better once the junk had gone. Clare and her team even came back a few days later to pick up the large sofa that had not been able to fit through the front door first time round. Thank you, Clare! Other companies that we met to carry out the work were not only extremely expensive but also made us feel like a number on a job sheet where you have made us feel like people: you cared and understood how hard this was for us all to deal with.
